Description
Global Refractory Installers and Suppliers is comprised of project managers and service technicians. We build, design, install and equipment in the air pollution control, aluminum melting, and steel processing industries. We offer turnkey solutions to equipment rebuilds, equipment moves, and heat recovery system design and installation.
Sales Person– Midwest
will have primary responsibility for sales of all products and services to all customers located in the Midwest with overall key objective of increasing Global Refractory's market share in Environmental control and aluminum and steel market segments. The Sales Person will also be responsible for market development activities in assigned territory and provide marketing and technical support. The Sales Person will work closely with Company's other sales personnel, engineering, manufacturing and accounting under a flat organizational structure to achieve the primary objective while working from a home office. The successful candidate will have a "can do" attitude with a sense of urgency that drives results. Some of the primary responsibilities will be:
- Responsible for direct sales to all accounts in assigned region
- Analyze market and develop sales and marketing strategy
- Work with internal sales personnel and engineering to develop sales opportunities
- Research, identify and develop new customers and applications in assigned markets
- Develop promotional strategy and materials
- Develop pricing strategy to meet market requirements and internal profitability goals
- Develop annual budgets and periodic sales forecasts
- Conduct regional SWOT analysis to identify and develop new opportunities
- Identify potential acquisition possibilities
Requirements
- Technical background: Bachelor's degree in science or engineering or equivalent experience is required
- Bachelor's degree in Ceramics, Chemical, Materials, Mechanical or Metallurgy is preferred
- Minimum 5 years experience in technical sales, business development, product management or marketing is required
- The ideal candidate must be a self-motivated, positive and driven individual. Main focus is on prospecting, new customer development, and account service.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Tactful, diplomatic and teamwork skills and ability to work under matrix organizational structure
- Willing to undertake extensive domestic travel up to 70%
- Physically capable of confined space entry
- Physically capable of climbing scaffolds and platforms
- Working experience in Refractories, Chemical, Industry, Mining, or related industries is preferred
- Experience in direct sales of industrial products and installation and/or construction services is preferred
